Privacy Policy
Effective July 2026
This policy explains what data TranslateX (operated by LISAN AI - FZE) collects when you use the desktop app and the web platform, why, and the control you have over it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
What we collect
- Account data: your name, email, and workspace membership, so you can sign in and we can attribute activity.
- Document content: when you translate a file or text, we process the content to produce the translation, and store your documents and their translated copies in your workspace so you can download, review, and re-use them. This is the product: without processing the document, there is nothing to translate.
- Language assets: the glossaries, translation memories, and style preferences you create, so they can be applied to your future translations.
- Job metadata: file names, language pairs, word counts, and timestamps, so your workspace can show history, progress, and reports.
- Operational logs: basic request and error logs to keep the service running and secure.
Why we process it
To provide the features you use: document and text translation, layout reconstruction, screen translation, glossaries and translation memory, the review editor, and workspace reports. We do not process your documents for any other purpose.
What we do not do
Our AI is never trained on your documents. We do not sell your data. We do not show third-party advertising.
Sharing controls
Your documents are private to you and your workspace by default. Workspace admins manage members and see usage statistics and reports, not a feed of everyone's document content beyond what their role allows.
Deletion and your rights
You can delete individual documents and their translations, and you can request deletion of your account and all its data. Your glossaries and translation memories can be exported (CSV, TMX) so your language assets are never locked in. Contact support@lisan.com.
Where your data lives
By default, in our cloud. Enterprise and government customers can run TranslateX in a sovereign cloud or fully on-premises with a local translation model, in which case document content never leaves their own network. See security.
