Feature

Translation, built into Windows itself.

A free desktop app that puts TranslateX in the right-click menu of every file, on a global hotkey, and quietly in the background. Windows 10 and later, published by LISAN AI - FZE.

The fastest surface

Translation without
opening anything.

The desktop app puts TranslateX where your files already are: in Windows Explorer, on a hotkey, in the background. The shortest path from a document in one language to the same document in another.

Right-click translate

Any file in Explorer. Translate To... Done.

Right-click a PDF, Word, PowerPoint, or Excel file anywhere in Windows, choose Translate To..., and pick the language. TranslateX translates the file and saves a fully translated copy next to the original, layout preserved, without you opening a single window.

  • Works from Explorer, the desktop, and network folders
  • The original file is never modified; the copy appears beside it
  • The same layout preservation as every other TranslateX surface

Running in background · hotkeys active · F6 for screen translation

Always within reach

Runs quietly until you need it.

The app runs in the background and answers to global hotkeys, so translation is one keystroke away in any application. Press F6 to capture and translate anything on screen, middle-click a word to translate it in place, and let the app start with Windows if you want it always ready.

  • Global hotkeys that work system-wide, not just in the app
  • Optional autostart, so it is ready when Windows is
  • Dark and light theme, matching how you work

Why the desktop matters

Documents live in folders, not in browser tabs.

Web translators assume your document is worth a whole workflow: open the site, upload, wait, download, find the download, rename it. For a legal counsel like Khalid Mansour in our sample workspace, the reality is a contract in a folder that needs to be readable in the next ten minutes. Right-click, Translate To..., keep working. The translated copy is already sitting where the original was filed.

Because the app is a native Windows citizen, it composes with everything else on the machine: Explorer, the Office add-ins, the F6 capture, and the clipboard. Translation stops being a destination and becomes a verb available everywhere.

  • No upload-download loop for files already on your machine
  • Copies are named and placed predictably, next to their originals
  • One install covers files, screens, and single words

Three different jobs, zero windows opened. The app worked from the background all three times.

In the box

Small app, complete toolset.

Explorer integration

Translate To... lives in the right-click menu of every file, which makes the file manager itself the translation interface.

Global hotkeys

F6 for screen capture, middle-click for single words, all configurable. The keyboard is faster than any window.

Background and autostart

Runs quietly in the background with optional autostart and a dark or light theme. There when needed, invisible when not.

Free to start

Download it, translate something real today.

The desktop app is a free download for Windows 10 (build 19041 and later, x64), published by LISAN AI - FZE. Install it, right-click a real document, and judge the output yourself. Teams that need the web platform, glossaries, and governance can start from the same download and grow into the full platform.

macOS and mobile are not available today; TranslateX is Windows-first on the desktop.

Frequently asked questions

What does the desktop app require?

Windows 10 build 19041 or later on x64. The app is published by LISAN AI - FZE and is a free download from the official installer page.

How does right-click translation work?

Right-click any file in Windows Explorer, choose Translate To..., and pick a language. A fully translated copy is saved next to the original with the layout preserved. The original file is never changed. See document translation.

Does it have to stay open all the time?

It runs in the background so hotkeys and right-click translation are always available, and you can enable autostart so it launches with Windows. Both behaviors are optional and under your control.

Which hotkeys does it use?

F6 starts a screen translation capture and middle-click translates a single word in place. Hotkeys are global, so they work in any application, and configurable in settings. See screen translation.

Is there a macOS or mobile version?

Not today. TranslateX is available on Windows for the desktop, alongside the Office add-ins and the web platform for teams.

Translate the document. Keep the design.

Right-click a file, work inside Office, or press F6 on anything on screen. TranslateX returns the same document in the other language: fonts, tables, and layout intact, terminology on brand.
